Tannis Blackman is a world traveler, scholar and truth-seeker. Her interest in the development of the Self has prompted studies in world religion, ancient philosophy and metaphysics. Tannis has lived in numerous cities and travels extensively, striving to learn more about other peoples and cultures.
Tannis was raised with a strong spiritual foundation and number of cultural influences. She is currently tracing her genealogy, which includes: Native-American ancestry, roots in Cuba and strong African heritage. Seeking the common threads which join all people together, she envisions a time when human beings every-


where will live together in peace, harmony and prosperity. Tannis also promotes environmental protection, shares an affinity with animals and appreciates the healthy exchange of ideas. She enjoys helping others and has a soft spot for children. Because she believes strongly in the law of Cause & Effect, she is always working to maintain positive energy and engage in right actions.
Tannis reads religious and spiritual texts daily. She maintains a practice of visiting various houses of worship, including: churches, synagogues, mosques and temples. She has friends and acquaintances the world over; she also has spiritual mentors who advise her regularly. A certified dance instructor, Tannis is currently studying Tai Chi with Master Louis Cox, as well as fine-tuning a trademarked form of dance exercise she plans to introduce in the near future.
Other plans include travel to Egypt, where she intends to study Tarot divination. She will also visit India, where she will study Yoga. Tannis has participated in an Earthwatch expedition and will continue to volunteer her time and energies to help make the world a better place. She wants to see and experience as much of the earth as possible, continuing her efforts to make a positive difference in the lives of others.
